1- Learn to breathe

Contrary to popular belief, breathing is a natural thing than every human being does without thinking. In general, there are two kinds of breathing: 

  • Thoracic breathing,
  • Diaphragmatic breathing.

Thoracic breathing is breathing in by inflating the chest and lifting the shoulders. This is what most of us practice. It fills only half of the lungs with air, which reduces our breathing capacity. This type of breathing is often the cause of permanent stress.

The second one (Diaphragmatic breathing), on the contrary, makes it possible to completely fill the lung with air. While inhaling, it is the lower part of the belly which works hard and the diaphragm becomes weaker. This type of breathing reduces muscle tension and helps to control the effects of stress. In addition to better oxygenation, it helps the person to relax. So, all you have to do is try and practice stress diaphragmatic breathing.

2- Learn to relax

At the end of the day especially after a hard day at work, take some time to relax. For that, try to find activities that appeal to you and this will lessen your stress. Stress is part of life and can be caused by our daily life. However, there are ways to deal with this stress to prevent it from grabbing the best of you.

Learning to relax can help you manage your stress on a daily basis. It is sometimes convenient to do relaxation exercises. Applicable anywhere and at any time when it is well controlled, it can significantly reduce the physical impact of stress. In particular by reducing the rhythms of the pulse and breathing as well as reducing the level of adrenaline.

3- Renounce the impossible

Feeling helpless is one of the biggest causes of stress. The feeling of having no way to act in any situation and not being able to change it generates a strong stress effect. To avoid this, we must expect to find ourselves, at a certain moment, in deadlock situations.
